Amid heatwaves in Canada, climate experts say this month of July is on track to be the hottest month on record. A community expert says there’s more to be done by the government in order for the community to help slow down the effects of climate change. OMNI Television checks in with the the Filipino community, in Theresa Redula’s report.

Canada introduced ‘visa-free’ travel to 13 countries including the Philippines. The Immigration Minister announced Tuesday that “known travellers” will be able to come to Canada through eTA program, without applying for a costly visitor visa. But there are several conditions to this announcement. Theresa Redula has the story.

April 5, 2023 Winnipeg family spends $3,000, after the airlines blocked their flight when they were unable to present their kids’ Philippine visa to enter Manila citing rule of staying beyond 30 days of Canadian nationals. The Philippine Embassy says immediate family members of Filipino citizens can travel to the Philippines without a visa for up to year as long as they have proof of filiation.
